Unless game has sound output options with headphones selectable, it can't produce good signal for headphone listening.Update : There have been several user reports that the hinges on their units have broken over time. Standard stereo sound of most games simply sucks with headphones. (which is why I assembled two Objective2 hp amp kits half dozen years ago)įor sound card I have second hand Sound Blaster ZxR bought I guess five years ago. They don't shine in "fun factor", but you can be sure game sound details are kept pronounced.Īnd with no speakers when having friend visiting bought at same time also K712, which has similar type sound to DT990. Then late last year bought second hand AKG K702 for neutral bass "detail whoring" reference. Which has basically every part available as spare part straight from Beyerdynamic, if something wears down. Half dozen years old above neutral bass punch good "fun factor" for gaming Beyerdynamic DT990 250 ohm Edition/Premium. It certainly felt weird at first, but after fair week that difference was forgotten.Īnd except for bigger keys with extra stabilizers sound is quieter with lot calmer/smoother noise profile. I think got it after Roccat Kone failed to impress with its (lack of) durability.ĭuring winter got Logitech G810 with Romer-Gs for keyboard after nearly five years of MX Brown. Mouse is Logitech G700 from don't remember how many years ago. Thanx EsaT What are you currently using ?

So there isn't a good gaming headset with nice quality mic ? ( excluding Sennheiser PC 373D) I will check out the recommend mouse and keyboard. I don't know much about them, but may want to check those out too. If you want a decent mid-line gaming headset, corsair's solutions aren't bad, but the mics on their headsets don't have foam mic muffs and sit right in your face, so they can pick up your breathing from time to time.ĮDIT: Also Sennheiser just came out with their GSP 500 and 600 headsets. If you want the best 'Gaming headset' out there that doesn't sound like garbage, get a Sennheiser PC 373D

'Gaming headsets' are all about looking cool vs sounding good They all come with built-in mic's and flashy colors. I use a pair of hifi headphones with a separate microphone. I use their M65 Mouse also, has great weight to it and feels sturdy in my hand. I personally use a Corsair K70 with Cherry mx Browns (give you tactile feedback without the annoying click of Blues). (Kingston HyperXes, QPADs)Īlso with the sorry state of game sounds as not even secondary thing after graphics, graphics and some more graphics, algorithms giving good immersion with headphones is one of the strengths of separate sound card over typical "crammed lots of hype in there" integrated. Though depending on your budget some of the headsets sold for gaming are quite nice for price level. (from case choise quieter switch might be favoured)Īnd as rule gaming headphones are cheapest Chinese trinkets at extreme overpricing. "Everyone look at me" ADHD illumination or more controlled accentuating illumination. Or non-linear switch with some initial resistance in upper portion of travel, before key press is registered.ĭamn the noise, or as little unnecessary noise than possible? (easy to accidentally press from resting finger) Light linear with very little resistance before key press getting registered. In keyboard you need to decide what kind switch you want: Unless being seriously f'ed up product some technical differences aren't anything compared bad/good comfort. Needing some highly merketed brand, fashionable names etc is exactly what gaming brands are counting on.įor mouse you're likely already using something, so look for other mouses with similar shaping.
